[Boehner reply kicks legs out from under the table of summit. Put simply, the House Republican leader has knocked the president's proposal, even though it addresses many of the complaints that Americans have about the differences between the House and Senate plan. We are not starting from scratch but presenting and addressing proposals.]

Please note that a public option version is in the house bill, so negotiate with the Republicans, exchange everything being on the table including "single payer" for an up or down vote on TV for part of the bill. Failing that, House pass the portion of the Senate bill that agrees with the House, and then vote out up or down the differences seperately. There is no reason for anyone to compromise but no reason for anyone to stand in the way but hypocrisy. (Ctrl F up down or sideways Valentines for ping pong or progress)
